Here's the TrueView. Is this the same photo as above with different resolution and background?

Yea even at $25k that's way above my comfort zone.

Good to know the coin market is going strong!
Perhaps there could be a blog article highlighting the strong coins!
Some folks just got more dollars than sense. That's a heap a Jack for 2cents. Oh, Brother!
Wow! That seems excessive but I don’t know the series that well.
Sometimes, it’s better to be LUCKY than good. 🍀 🍺👍

Fellas, leave the tight pants to the ladies. If I can count the coins in your pockets you better use them to call a tailor. Stay thirsty my friends......
I was the under bidder at $50

At 25K, not only were you left in the dust, you were still on the porch! And rightly so!

As far as the market going strong? Coin was bought in the summer, regraded, and now has a CAC sticker. After all that, it sold for less. Market is weaker or the auction house is weaker.

I think you have it the other way round. To confirm - it sold for more at GreatCollections on Sunday. Superb coin that I personally feel will upgrade one day.

A truly beautiful specimen.... What a pleasure to own a coin like that... Congratulations to the winner..... Cheers, RickO
Whoops, I didn't see the buyers fee total to the right. I stand corrected. With the auction fees, regrade, CAC, shipping, the current owner took a hit, but it seems Ian made the 5 grand the owner lost! What a deal!!
It was previously sold just 5 months ago. Coins have a huge transaction cost and it's normal to take a hit when selling. GC has a much lower BP than others.
If you want low transaction costs, stocks fit the bill.
Not sure you can gage the entire market on one coin....a moose at the top level for the type/variety. But people keep trying!!
It still appears to be a dual market. High end keeps getting higher, lower common grades are still floundering a bit. Not a bad thing if you're buying....but still a concern about the long-term health of the hobby. I'm still optimistic, but wait for some sign of a turn around.....
I would settle for just the buyer's premium to spend on coins.

Nearly $57K > @Wabbit2313 said:
That was probably bought by one of the crack-out dealers who couldn't get it to upgrade.
I know one who wins 7 out of 10 or so he says.
So taking a $3.5K hit and moving on to the next potential coin upgrade isn't a huge deal to these guys playing at this level.
It must be maxed if the CAC sticker only moved it 2 grand up.
It was a token bid, I knew it wouldn't be even close, but if it did happen to go for 25K I would of sold a kidney for such a coin.
Man, you have more guts than me- who has a spare kidney in this hobby anymore?
