Well, I was planning on finding a lowball Peace registry guy who needs this girl but I was sending out a CAC order and figured I'd have some fun. Wouldn't ya know .. So, did I shoot myself in the foot or will this make for a faster sale, and maybe for a touch more?
The more you VAM..

Worst case, it looks like a $13.50 mistake to me. Beyond that, I see no real issue either way.
If it bugs you too much, peel it off.
Now you need to find another collector with a bigger gun.
I think it looks fine. Certainly far better than a Gold Sticker would have. This is one of those rare instances where you hope and pray to not get a Gold CAC. LOL
It was worth the extra expenditure just to take an image and share it with the rest of us...I think.

No, I think CAC agrees that it is a solid P01

If you sent it to CAC it would be with the hope it would sticker, correct?
Condition, condition, condition.
Crack it out and resubmit.
Hoard the keys.
no sticker might have meant they won't do PO-01?
or
would no sticker mean it is pitiful for a PO-01?
now that we know JA likes laughs, too, what would a non-stickered PO-01 have to look like?
scratch? rim ding(s)? corrosion? previous verdigris affliction? ___ ?
It's a good thing guys as it means it's solid & accurate for the p01 grade and that the surfaces are clean and unmolested. I also assume it means they don't think it was artificially or mechanically worn down, or at least if it was, it was done well enough that they couldn't tell. I mainly posted this for the conversation as there has been talk before of p01 stickered coins. Now, on the other hand, if it got the gold...
It’s not worth more than BV if that much but if that’s what u like go for it. Somebody paid money get that stickered? They paid more more money
Than what it’s worth
can we see the rev pls? i like it
I sold a 22p p01, without a sticker, last year and made a nice profit.
Sure
Nice reverse for a P01
AND CAC agrees, I think you did well

A PO 01 is still a PO 01........sticker or no sticker.
So, it would still be appealing to the lowball nuts. lol

Hey, it may well be a Pop One!
95 years is a long time to keep a dollar in your pocket, though.
Good luck with that, looks like a P1.5 to me....
You're lucky it didn't get a gold sticker. Then you would have been screwed. You still have plenty of toes left

Fellas, leave the tight pants to the ladies. If I can count the coins in your pockets you better use them to call a tailor. Stay thirsty my friends......
I like it. I dont think I would've sent it off to CAC, but since you had a submission to put together anyway...

There are several collectors that really like P01 coins... and with a CAC sticker, that will add to the attraction. You should make a nice premium on that one. Cheers, RickO

A while back, I talked with JA on the phone about what a CAC sticker means on a PO1 coin. In a nutshell, it means that they would pay their PO1 bid for the coin. At that grade, being "solid for the grade" means that its evenly worn, not damaged, and is not ugly. I stop short of saying it means it's attractive.

Surprisingly, to me anyway, there are 26 PO-01 CAC coins.

PS, I would sure love to own that 1924 MS-68 CAC coin!
Interesting that every grade besides 06 and 69 is represented...anyone have an 06 to send in to make a POP 1?
I don't know JA, but he has to get a laugh out of these.
I assume you will go for the 1927-S next
Best place to buy !

I think it's pretty cool Chris, by 2047 that 1917 should look the same.
So if you sent in a FR02 and it should be a PO01 would it get a sticker

Look up the word "slick" in the coin dictionary, and there's a picture of this dollar! I like the irony of stickering a PO-01, personally.
