It looks like the Redskin's logo was copied from the coin, and the Bill's original logo was copied from the coin as well.

We actually had a super bowl game back in the '90's, Wash vs Buffalo, that could have been called the "Buffalo Nickel Bowl."

Don't know if the back of the shirt has the coin reverse or not. I'll ask next time I see Cousins in the grocery store.

{Will there be mintmarked T-shirts? How do you slab an XXL T-shirt?)

Sometimes NFL defenses even throw in a "Nickel Back" for passing situations. I prefer the original Bills logo myself.

Doubtful a "nickel back" will help this year's Washington Redskins team. Right now they need a repair crew. Maybe if they all wore the T-shirts instead of numbered jerseys they could play better?

I do not follow football...(or any ball sport)... but that would make a nice T-shirt... in black....Probably only available in red though... :'( Cheers, RickO

"Burgundy and gold" are the team's colors, although they are really dark red and dark yellow. Maybe they wear black at season's end when they go home empty handed -- again.

    Interesting!

    Wonder if he collects coins?

The article says the "equipment managers" pointed it out, so maybe one of them collects coins. At least the article got its references correct.

Ah, so you bought one of Cousins' T-shirts! How does it fit?

(Now, if the Redskins could just show up at their games -- instead of sending the cheerleaders...)

I too wonder if Cousins collects? I would bet he owns a slabbed Buffalo nickel for sure.

The newspaper article suggests he is not a coin collector.
