I'll try when using a 10k power scope a lot of stuff will look DD. The highest I use is 20x and some don't like that. Have you ever looked at this book "Strike it rich in pocket change" you will find a lot of info in that book on what to look for split serifs and so on. Then you can go out looking with a good eye and see every thing you may have missed. Look at the cherry picker book over and over if you need to go to the john take it with you and look at it keep going over it and don't forget the dates as well then go out looking, Then You will be a coin Jedi Master. :o

    Hoard the keys.
  • I have not but I definitely need to do I don't keep bombing the chat with pics but I appreciate the info! I need to post two more things if you would like to see them! I think I found a double eye lid and a doubling on a nose

Shelf, mechanical or ejection doubling are terms you need to know and understand.

I recommend being clear on what question(s) you are asking of the Board. Many new, enthusiastic collectors just post images or cryptic (i.e., incomprehensible, grammatically atrocious, run-on sentences) and wait for clarifying answers. Some pretty smart people are members here and willing to help ... make it easier for them to respond.

The recommendations above will help you considerably...The CPG is a valuable reference when assessing DD's and other issues... Copper coins website is a huge resource. Have fun.... Cheers, RickO
