Wonder if it was just a clerical error that was intended to be VG instead of AG.
Not seeing anything in the NGC or other photos to cause a net grade. It wouldn't make sense to net grade all the way down to AG anyway as they could just put it in a problem holder.

It's VG, probably a clerical error. Only worth fixing if you have it done at a show where you can convince them that the error is obvious. Even then, it might be worth more as is, since some people will pay a premium for TPG screw-ups, and nobody will pay a premium for a properly graded VG 1888-S dollar.

Looks like a VG...maybe knocked down for scratches or damage I can't discern from the picture.
looks way too strong for AG.
Net graded for a problem? Don't see it but it could be rim issues.
bob
Is it real and in a real holder?

If the grade don't fit, you must resubmit!

Definitely not an AG

Probably part of a 'low ball' submission, grade inflation in reverse.

VG all the way, from what I can see.
