I don't know if they're collectible, but I was able to pick up some neat items that way years ago.
this is a cheat, but i'm going to do it anyway...this is basically a rattler with a gasket around it (gen 2).
Ah, the days of the grading giants !!

Of those posted above these are my favorite....
@KollectorKing Those are really nice Walkers.... Cheers, RickO
Here's a couple of rattler sets I'm working on (sorry for the potato phone photo). Up top are 1936 to 1964 proofs in rattlers, below are my starter set of mercs in rattlers

Yep, kinda hard to see but it looks like your on your way to a super nice collection.
Thanks RickO.
Thanks. I'm trying to complete the proof set in rattlers on the cheap (under $100 per coin average). I've been picking up a few at shows and on the bay, but the LMC and later nickles are hard to find.
Is there any chance the I could pry that ' '51 nickle or the '53 quarter away from you?
Sold most of my rattlers, but kept a couple

I only have a couple, here's one:

So many nice coins in here!! There's just something about a rattler that makes a coin look so much nicer.
Now that is gorgeous!!
There should be a "Holy Crap" button...
Love the subtle toning!

Both in Rattlers... Images by member Messydesk
So does this qualify its the only old coin I own. Sad I know but I will eventually gear up. I liked the way it looked so I bought it! I know I should not do that but that's how I picked it.
2nd side
This isn't a rattler but an OGH with the yellow gasket. Kinda scarce...I have a couple.
