Your thoughts on this weird Indian Cent

This is one of those coins that has been sitting around the office forever. My first thought was post mint damage, and it probably is. I just want to know how it happened. The part that puzzles me are the two headbands and and what looks like two rows of feathers. Any ideas?
I used to be somebody, now I'm just a coin collector.

look like someone used it as a shim ...
Not only is the coin heavily "damaged" it is also heavily worn. Its story may remain a secret forever.

Maybe used under that wobbly table leg.
It does look like there are two headbands.
Might have been used in a fuse box... that could explain the circular nature of the damage and the sorta-melted appearance.
Just Calvary circling the wagons around the Indian(s).
Pay back.

Looks partially melted or maybe hammered down on something to act as a cap.
Great transactions with oih82w8, JasonGaming, Moose1913.
Yes... PMD.... and the table leg explanation could be true...certainly some type of shim application. Not a fuse though, those are different. Cheers, RickO
