I have to assume the folks at PWCC are aware of this ongoing problem and are doing what they can to fight it, but it sure would make me frustrated if I were them!
I sent PWCC 3 messages two weekends ago with no reply back so they do know what is going on. I just reported about 10 of this guy's auctions a couple hours ago. He just keeps on going anyways.
My brother is into the game cards like Magic, etc. I am not but he sent me a link to a scam explanation that while presented relative to the gaming cards, can similarly be applied towards these fake PWCC card listings that we have been seeing. The video is a little long and rambles but if you have a few minutes, it does include all the details about how and why this scam like we see on these fake listings for sports cards is working:
I can understand if I give my credit card to a web instead of paypal or on eBay - they could steal my info/identity.
If I understood how sellers got screwed? Someone buys with a stolen credit card - the thief gets the product and then the real owner of the credit card makes the dispute and the seller is out the product and the money is taken back? That stinks.
hmmm, this guy has zero feedback as a seller,is asking for $4500-7500 for this 96 MJ Thrill Seekers and is using PWCC's description for a PSA 10 of this card, they just sold for $6600,in his description when the card isn't even graded.

I'm thinking that particular account may have been hijacked by phishing and used for fake listings. California address instead of China, open for 3 years but almost no activity. More often than not, these fakes show up on new overseas accounts with zero feedback and opened the same month as the listing.

You could be right. PWCC just sold a PSA 10 of this card a week ago for 6.6k and this guy is using their description for his ungraded card. Maybe he saw their auction price and decided to sell his own but to use their PSA 10 description just shows he's not to bright either way. Great looking card though.

Here's another example of a pic ripped off of PWCC being used to scam $ by a fake Chinese seller that I just stumbled upon:
