A PSA 8 1966 Koufax for $29, BV $315 in a PWCC holder for sale by someone with no feedback !

I'd say its the same person from last night selling a Lebron 03 Topps Chrome PSA 9 for $18. Different user names but both had zero feedback, were in GuangZhou, China and both were using PWCC setups. If you searched PWCC's recent Koufax sales,i'd bet you would find that PSA serial number sold recently.

I sent a message to PWCC last night letting them know about the Lebron guy .

That cert # sold on 9/14 for $417, so it's 100% a scam, and a dumb one at that.
Looks like the first five are all scams as well

The Palmer sold for $910.00 on 9-17
The Blyleven sold for $402 on 9-17

glad this board exists so that we can share these never ending scams...if they just put all that brain power and effort to good use, they'd probably make more money than these things....perhaps not
looks like everything was removed before I could look. I echo seebelow's comments about the forum. ty
You can still see some of this scammer's auctions on this link. They're the first few China listings.

The title of this thread could use a makeover.
This guy just keeps going. Now its a Jordan 88 Fleer PSA 10 for $20.74 and he made it much harder to track by not using PWCC's initials in the title.

I reported it to ebay as soon as i saw it. Not much else we can do. This scam artist is burning thru ebay accounts quickly and I'm pretty sure he's had a new account for each card he's tried selling.

I've never heard of this happening. They're basically getting free work from you for something their fraud/security department should be identifying.
There are so many red flags and such a consistent pattern that it is troubling that this cannot be taken care of.
This one should be removed within 30 minutes based on an email I received by from a connection I have at Ebay.
You should ask that person at ebay to have the fraud/security department keep refreshing that link to see his listings.. This guy in China keeps using PWCC setups making it somewhat easy to find his fake auctions.

Brady Bowman sold for $17.60
Looks like "vintage card prices" is going to be working overtime fixing all these price anomalies from fake sales. I reported several last night as well. One of the cards the fraudster listed was one I had bought from PWCC and had already been delivered to me. Frustrating.
Thanks Eric. I did contact them and let them know.
Two more today, don't know if eBay can stop the fraudulent listings.
now there is 1961 fleer basketball pack up for 25.14 psa 7 the listing was copied from pwcc i guess they are just trying to get peoples info when they buy it now and scam them somehow how blind is ebay ? oh and its also free shipping lol
Looks like he stopped using PWCC cards.

This was copied directly from another auction recently completed.
You would think someone at ebay would contact paypal to see if this guy is using the same paypal account on all of these sham listings. We know he's been opening a new ebay acount with every card he tries selling and i doubt he's doing the same with the paypal accounts the money goes to.

Here's another one (PSA 8.5 '67 Rose):

When will it stop?
1975 rack with George Brett on top for $23 and change.
When will the uninformed stop buying this? Why can't EBay wake up??? PT Barnum???
This is like a virus that continues to spread throughout eBay. What is being done about it? What can be done about it?
Collecting 1970s Topps baseball wax, rack and cello packs, as well as PCGS graded Half Cents, Large Cents, Two Cent pieces and Three Cent Silver pieces.
Ericthered made an excellent suggestion of eBay checking and finding that all of these bogus listings have the same PayPal account attached to them. Of course no one will accuse eBay of being that smart
The people buying these items are not newbies, either~the person who bought the phony 75 rack with Brett on top had a FB total of well over 1,000.
Collecting 1970s Topps baseball wax, rack and cello packs, as well as PCGS graded Half Cents, Large Cents, Two Cent pieces and Three Cent Silver pieces.
Tim- was that Brett rack phony? It was GAI 7. And I think PWCC just sold that same rack
a few weeks to a month ago. It brought around $700 if I remember.
I thought it was just the picture of the rack that was lifted from PWCC , but I believed the rack was genuine.
Tim - nevermind. I think you're saying the auction was phony, not the rack itself. My mistake.
And I did check, PWCC sold that rack for $735.
Along the lines of ones to avoid, I worry that someone may try to pass these off as authentic soon, especially the Alcindor and Palmer which would go for quite a high price in their condition if they were legit, because not enough collectors out there are familiar enough with foreign issues to be able to spot the fakes:

Yes, the rack was good but the pirated auction was not.

If they are real sales, wouldn't you expect the buyers to complain to ebay as well since they wont be receiving any card? I assume the seller is just trying to steal credit card data and hack other info from you, so shouldn't this "work itself out"? How many sales does it look like this seller has made already? If you are right about some of the buyers being experienced, this should get caught quickly.
I actively collect Kirby Puckett. I have collections of Michael Jordan, Emmitt Smith, Roberto Clemente, Dwight Gooden, Tom Seaver, Errict Rhett and Evan Longoria.
This guy is in China and i'm pretty sure these buyer's can't make an ebay complaint until after the listed amount of shipping days it would normally take for a card to ship from China to wherever the buyer is,(EX: Estimated between Fri. Oct. 20 and Thu. Nov. 9) The buy would have to wait until Nov 9th before they could make a claim with ebay. I had 2 purchases from sellers with 100% positive feedback that both got hit with numerous negatives after my purchase dates and after seeing the neg's i pretty much knew i wasn't going to see my items. Neither of them ever got delivered and i couldn't make a claim until the end of the estimated shipping time from the listing. Most of these buyers are gonna be waiting awhile seeing that the cards are supposedly coming from China and would take a week or two under normal conditions.

I don’t think a newbie seller can claim the funds in his PayPal account until the item has been delivered. If these cards are being paid for with PayPal no credit card info is at risk
Ah, ok. I see.
Its still hard for me to believe that anyone with any ebay experience would fall for this - Seller in China, no feedback, price not remotely in line with market in most cases, etc... From what others have posted, it doesn't sound like this scam is going to work either if the seller is using paypal.
I actively collect Kirby Puckett. I have collections of Michael Jordan, Emmitt Smith, Roberto Clemente, Dwight Gooden, Tom Seaver, Errict Rhett and Evan Longoria.
I'm guessing there's some sort of limit before funds are held. It seems all of these are under $25, so maybe the funds are available if the sale stays under a certain threshold. Otherwise, it doesn't make much sense to keep doing this.
@Jimmy_Commonpants Yeah i agree some buyers out there aren't too bright. As for the paypal aspect, this guy might be getting the payments seeing that they're so small in the $15-25 range. When i opened a 2nd ebay account & paypal account recently, the only payments that got held by Paypal were in the $50 & higher range. All of the smaller amounts cleared immediately so this guy is probably getting some money right away. If he wasn't i can't see why he would even keep going at this point.
