    Blue ribbon aka Coincare?

  • lkeigwinlkeigwin Posts: 16,893 ✭✭✭✭✭

    Blue Ribbon is a different product than CoinCare. I much prefer the former. But it is off the market.

    I think that is original toning from Mint packaging. But I've been wrong a lot lately.

    @ricko No complaints about "tarnish"?

    @giorgio11.... No... old copper is almost always brown/blue ..... I really am amazed when an old copper coin is red....and with no evidence of a dip....it happens, though rarely. For that reason, tarnished copper is almost 'de riguer'...and it is not nearly as ugly as tarnished silver. Cheers, RickO

    Coast to Coast Coins is offering the same coin in the October 2017 issue of Coin World on page 2. They are asking $9,995 for the 1915 Lincoln PR-67. A tad cheaper for anyone who's interested.

    @ricko With my specialty in cents, I actually agree with you ... copper is far more reactive than silver overall ... just can't resist an opportunity to pull your chain since you take it so good-naturedly. I actually love toned coins ... well, some of them!

    Kind regards,

    George

    @giorgio11.... :D My chain is always out there for pulling.....I rarely get upset....and then mostly at myself if I do not run a tactical firing course properly.... ;) Have a fantastic day....Cheers, RickO

    And I wish you the same @ricko ! I get upset if I don't steer my wheelchair straight ... I just bid on some toned cents in your honor!

    Kind regards,

    George

    I've never owned a matte proof Lincoln, but that seems like an awful lot of money for that coin.

    It's nice, but not that nice...even if I had the means to do so.
