Is the upcoming limited edition set of interest? Does this make the total mintage of S mint proof ASE for this year 125K?

This series has a following so, yes, it is of interest to collectors of that series. Unfortunately, since it is an ultra-modern issue, the survival rate will be close to 100% so it will not be scarce or rare. The US Mint has too many "new" items coming out each year and this issue, like most, will soon be forgotten once the flippers have made their money (if the flippers make their money at all).
It will be of interest to some collectors....likely not something of increasing value.... Cheers, RickO
