Oh yeah? I betcha there is not a person alive who would not give you two cents for it as a conversation piece. Finding classic coinage is like having a scar...there is a story to tell...and exaggerate if necessary.

I edited my original post since BD won't give two cents for it. I normally don't use absolutes...this is why...there is usually somebody who will prove someone wrong.

I actively searched hundreds of boxes of cent rolls from 2007 until last year - I found 36 IHC's and 2 FE cents - they are scarce but can be found by looking through a buttload of rolled coin.
I have even found two IHC cents, 1865 and 1902 in coin machine reject slots.

Interesting place to carry those rolls around in?!
I have not found an IHC in a long time.... a few years... Of course, I have not been roll searching cents. I do roll search halves...that is not very fruitful. I would keep any IHC I found... I like them. Oh for the days as a kid on my paper route... would get them in change all the time... paper was 8 cents... so people almost always paid with a nickel and three cents...at least when selling on the street. House to house produced dimes, quarters and halves mostly. Anyway... send me your unwanted IHC's...I will feed and clothe them... give them a warm place to stay... Cheers, RickO

I wouldn't give two cents for it - in fact I've sent twenty or thirty IHC coins like it to the Coinstar this summer along with a raft of wheat cents.
All this dross is pulling me down, drowning me. Gotta let go.
.
Looks like someone turned on their metal detecting finds.

Nice find. Congratulations.
It's exciting to find any coin that old (116 years!) in circulation no matter what the value.
I'd pay at least 2 cents apiece if it meant preventing them from going to Coinstar!!

Super cool! I think I'd throw that one back in the coinage workforce at a place a YN might be likely to find it.
Great transactions with oih82w8, JasonGaming, Moose1913.
still a pleasant surpise to get

Nothing like finding very old coins in rolls, regardless of condition.
This one is toast, but it's YOURS!
Congrats
