ND Dime "Counterfeit" - looks like an Off Center w/Straight End Clip
I might have labeled the clip as not genuine, but don't know why PCGS
said 'counterfeit'
1837 Era Half Dime Planchet - the weight and/or diameter was not
correct, in all probability, but again, don't know why they said 'counterfeit'
It was un-identifyable.
I can't see what this is - looks like a planchet with a straight clip?
1956-D Cent - I've seen a few of these - I believe it was cut down after it
it left the mint. Some type of 'band saw' used???
I believe the 'counterfeit' term on the tag is just the basic
"it's not genuine", even though it's not counterfeit - it means
it's altered in some fashion.

Yes, got a counterfeit on a label on my Added mint mark Morgan. Certainly was a real dollar and not a fake but the mint mark was bogus. Still said counterfeit.

If the weight/diameter is bad for the blank planchet, it's hard to argue with that. The rims / surfaces look off to me as well, for a planchet supposedly from that period.
I can't see much on the one after that one. It looks like it might have been a real off-center, with the struck portion snapped off after the fact.
The others still look good to me. Try ATS if you want them in plastic, or simply admire them as they are?

Did you get these fakes from the same source?
Wow... bad luck there... can you determine how the service declared them counterfeit? Would be good to know that....Cheers, RickO
It would be great if you could provide more detailed photographs.
I'm sorry to see this.

Aren't all US Mint Errors "Man Made"?
The name is LEE!
