Is it just me, or is the NGC certification verification down? I've been trying to verify NGC coins for the past 4 days, on-line, at the Long Beach show and I keep getting the following notice:

Since they are in Florida they evacuated, and also temporarily shut down some internet services.

  • Thank you

Hopefully, their facility escaped major damage ..... and all personnel - and coins - are safe. Cheers, RickO

Just heard from my buddy down in Tampa.

Still has power, no house damage, little debris in yard, and the only thing trashed last night was a bag of cookies...

NGC could have survived unscathed, depending on where they are.

I believe NGC was in Sarasota. CNN just recently quoted a sheriff as saying that things went much better for Sarasota than anticipated. NGC should be fine.

Sarasota is just 50 miles directly South of Tampa on the other side of the bay. I would expect both had similar conditions last night. By the time Irma got to central Florida, it was down to a cat 1, much less than the cat 3 predicted, so so long as they're elevated above the flooding, they may be open tomorrow.

The certification verification is working again....

    Don't quote me on that.
