Does PSA/DNA charge for order before or after authentication?

I sent a PSA/DNA order in this past week and it just entered there system on Tuesday. I just looked and was charged. I am just needing to know if they charge before or after they authenticate? I thought that they waited until completion but not sure. I would be shocked if it is done already. My account states that is still processing. Any thoughts welcome. Thank you.

My last 2 PSA orders (both express) had one charged right after entering the system on the first order then charged after my grades popped on the second order. I wouldn't worry about it.

edit: i thought you meant just a standard PSA grading,i missed the psa/dna part the first time i read it.

I've had psa/dna orders only take a few days after log to pop. They seem to be much faster than grading time frames. As far as when they charge I don't know, but would assume it's after it gets done.

they charge before the process, not after.

They charge after. That's because they don't always know if they can render an opinion, and they won't know that until the process is complete. If they can't render an opinion, there is no charge.

  • AFLfan is not correct, raiderguy10 is correct and most certainly would know as he has done many group PSA/DNA submissions.
