Copper 4 Labor Day Weekend

Happy Labor Day, everybody! Post your copper for the long weekend...
1864 Dunn & Co. Oyster House Civil War token by Joseph H. Merriam Charlestown, MA (ex. S. Tanenbaum collection)
This is a fairly recent acquisition, the scarcest of the Dunn & Co varieties. I have only seen one other in my searches and it had problems. Im glad I passed onnthe other, since this one is exquisite with great color and luster. It is also the plate coin to George and Melvin Fuld's reference book on Civil War storecards.

MA (1860'S) BOSTON R-MA-BO-20 VARIETY HENRY COOK EX. JOHN J. FORD JR.
Grade: NGC MS 65
Info from the auction site:

Chestnut-brown with hints of violet. Possibly bronzed during manufacture. The identity of the variety is somewhat obscure as the reverse inscription is given by Rulau as: "HENRY COOK, MONEY BROKER," perhaps following a description in an 1886 Woodward sale. The piece offered here has a 10-line inscription on the reverse; the first two lines being the same as represented by Rulau, and hence this may be identical with Rulau Ma-Bo 20. Rulau writes further that there are "only 2 pieces known" for the Ma-Bo 20 variety.
From the John J. Ford, Jr. Collection. Paper envelope with attribution notation included.

Very nice Stef... Looks like Mr. Cook was the inspiration for today's flea markets....

PCGS photo of a recent submission that was not a Secure or Trueview request. Guess they just wanted to document the scarce rascal.

1855 was apparently a bad year in New York..........
Amazing medal! Your collection never ceases to amaze.
Haven't posted on one of these for quite a while. Here's one of my favorite non-pennies.

Here are some old Civil War Patriotics that I picked up yesterday. Guy had an old self made dansco type holder with over 100 patriotics and store cards. It was a old collection bought like 15 years ago and hadn't been touched since then.
