Great silver haul. I Know you don't usually keep track of your clad but did you find quite a bit this month

I have no idea; however, the clad has been piling up over time. I recently bought a Lortone rock tumbler to clean the clad; so, it won't jam the bank's coin counter with dirt.

Nice silver haul.... Is that from several sites? You certainly have some good area there for the amount of silver you are pulling out.... Cheers, RickO

Do you use soap water and sand to clean your clad?

I'm using aquarium gravel, water, and a little dish soap. I'm doing an experiment right now, hoping pennies will get clean enough without the gravel. I don't want the labor of separating pennies and gravel.

I Use a deep fried basket that I put over a five gallon bucket. Put the tumbled coins and sand in it and pour water over it to wash the sand off and put the coins on a drying rack. You'll find wheat pennies you didn't know you had too. I had posted some pics in a January 27 thread

One method that I have used is, after washing (in hot water, sprayed and agitated) to remove the bulk dirt.. is to let dry, then put them in a vibratory case cleaner with corn cob media....it works really well...only need 20-25 minutes.... Cheers, RickO
