This coin was listed a couple weeks ago on EBay as an 1873-P Trade $ with a buy it now of $159. I was trying to hit the BIN button after doing a double take on the mint mark area, but someone else beat me to it. Was I seeing things or is the coin a 73-CC ??? I was hoping whoever bought it would post a thread about it. Anyone else see a CC ?

There's a hint of the first C if you stare at it long enough
I see it....but then again, I once saw Elvis on a piece of toast.
The mind can play tricks!
Looks like it.... hard to say, but I think I see a C.... Really would need to examine that in hand... Cheers, RickO
It is definitely a CC. I must confess, I am the guilty party that beat you to the punch!!!
Here is the coin, brightened slightly and contrast upped to bring out the details a little more. Depending on which way you tilt it in hand, you can also barely see the fat part of the left-most C too.

Congrats sir, is there a known variety for a weak CC ?
I don't know if it is a recognized variety, but I have owned several with weak CCs. Here is the TrueView of another one I grabbed off Ebay earlier this year, also mis-identified as a "P" in the listing. Graded VG10
