Really nice. I'll bet it's far nicer in person. Original, nice toning, full bands. The wings are really hammered! I'd get it in plastic at least for preservation.
I'd go with a shot at 65FSB.
Great transactions with oih82w8, JasonGaming, Moose1913.
They gave some money away: Apparently this was a guilt by association situation wit the seller, as many of the Merc.s were lower grade:
"ALL of the Merc dimes from this recent collection we bought had been lightly cleaned many years ago by the owner to some degree before they re-toned. The coin's luster wasn't perfectly fresh. With the standards being liberalized, who knows? We ARE sending in a few coins from that collection."
"The 10c 1931-S, while beautifully toned, has slightly impaired luster in my opinion (and also the opinion of another expert), difficult to see, but I doubt that the coin will grade as high as the buyer hopes it will. Perhaps my judgement is incorrect. It wouldn't be the first time that I left a significant sum on the table. I have certified many thousands of coins at PCGS. I have been Authorized PCGS Dealer since 1995 and involved with the coin business since 1961. Every once in awhile I get it wrong, as EVERYONE does from time to time. Even the grading services screw-up the grades on a fairly regular basis."

The seller is a friend. And why haven't you left feedback on the sale yet; it looks like you got a $400 coin for well under $100?
Shazam... I do like Mercs and tend to be more accurate on my evaluation of them... and Buffs too.... Nice coin. Cheers, RickO
@Fairlaneman Great results! Did you happen to take advantage of the quarterly special and get free truviews of them?
Nice dime!
