Pretty decent overlap of bidders up until the point the first one sold for. Beyond the $900 point, it's two bidders pushing it up, if one decides to retract the PWCC one is in the $600+ range.
A fresh bid I see came in. This auction is going to be very interesting to watch for sure after tomorrow night.
New meat That should hold a high floor, unless there's multiple retractions. The 5 feedback seller has to be wondering what they did wrong.
they didnt do anything wrong...PWCC has a better scanner

I suffer from the condition of when I win a snipe on PWCC for a great deal, I wonder what is wrong with the card or listing that I missed!
I honestly wonder if there are buyers out there that simply don't care if they are paying more and do so because they feel confident the product will be real and arrive safely.
My wife turned 40 last year and she is really into shoes and purses and wanted a large Chanel. This is obviously a very expensive purse and she has successfully purchased used purses and shoes so the initial plan was to do so here. She watched a few for a handful of months on EBAY and as we got close to her birthday I said let me look at them. There were a few listings that looked great but there were some red flags that concerned me. I ended up paying $2,600 more from the Chanel store at the Millenia Mall and the purchase exceeded what I had planned to spend but I did so for total peace of mind. With all of the bad transactions that take place in trading cards this may apply to PWCC.

I really don't understand using an inferior scanner if either: a) selling quite a bit or b) selling higher dollar items. $200 for a V600 is trivial in the long run.
I couldn't agree more. The marginal cost of a low end scanner vs. a $200 scanner over the long run is negligible and one card sale that goes your way and it pays for itself.
Give it time and we might eventually see a PAS grading company. There are a million other grading company acronyms selling on ebay so whats one more.... Pathetic-Ass-Sportscards has a nice ring to it lol.

Same for my wife, but Gucci is her thing...buy it direct from the retail store to avoid the drama and the customer service is top shelf
IMO if I am buying an item like a Tag or Breitling watch, a Gucci or Chanel purse... I would rather pay extra and get it from their retail store and know 100% what I am getting is legit versus saving a few bucks. Like they say if you have to ask the price you might not be able to afford it. Nothing wrong with shopping around, but items like the above mentioned ones on eBay would concern me - lots of very good fakes out there.
I think what people might be saying is that if you are on a message board implying/hinting/saying that PWCC/Probstein are Mastro like in that they are engaging in nefarious acts you might want to be careful. That is a good way to have someone contact you or perhaps their lawyer since that could be considered libel. Just some friendly advice.

If that is the case then I'm sure a team of lawyers is busy just running down everything on the Net 54 thread.
Always looking for Topps Salesman Samples, pre '51 unopened packs, E90-2, E91a, N690 Kalamazoo Bats, and T204 Square Frame Ramly's

They had a GAI 9 cello pack I really wanted last week, so I bid what I thought was slightly over the value of the pack and still was out bid by $50 !!!

You can always find good deals from this seller, you just have to know to search for "1918 PAS Montana" when looking for a PSA graded Montana rookie: ebay.com/itm/1918-Topps-216-Joe-Montana-San-Francisco-49ers-RC-Rookie-HOF-PAS-4-VG-EX-/362073424128?

I think with PWCC you're partly paying for their reputation along with the card.> @detroitfan2 said:

I pay more for PWCC and Probstein auctions. I have never had an issue with either of them and I always get the card/box/etc I bid on.
While eBay is almost risk free for a buyer I don't want to have to deal with any hassles. I have better things to do with my time.

ON ITS WAY TO NEWPORT BEACH, CA 92658
Again, depends on what side of the sale you're on. I wouldn't be very happy with Mr. Probstein if this was my consignment, but then again it is a record price for a 1918 PAS Montana: ebay.com/itm/1918-Topps-216-Joe-Montana-San-Francisco-49ers-RC-Rookie-HOF-PAS-4-VG-EX-/362073424128?
Are you saying the owners are shilling auctions? That is what mastro did. Or saying there is conspiracy with consignors and owners to shill?
Care to Explain what you mean by this statement?

Now the Mayweather card is going to be bid to the moon. That guy who "stole" it for the normal price other day will be happy.
Over $2,600
Surprised at these prices no fresh copies are being listed.
I think one closed last night 2500 buy now no offer. sold quickly.
This is virtually insane, but whomever got the one the other day apparently stole it (for a ride at the moment)
it sold for $2200.
