    Since no coins were produced in Carson City in 1887, yes, it would be legal, not counterfeit (unless someone tried to pass it off as a real dollar). Can't counterfeit something that was never produced.

    Ricko,,,,,,,,no, I was talking about the 1887cc Morgan that is pictured in the first post of this thread.
    The coin is no longer up for sale as ebay removed it and re-directs you to what you are now seeing.
