Charmy / @ThePennyLady had some great pics of the Newman 106 dollar bill issued to celebrate Eric's 106 year birthday.
It's a great bill for a great man and I was wondering how to get one.
Also, does anyone know the significance of the pineapples?
Here's the thread (with lots of images):
And the images by themselves:

I did some searches on this and apparently there is also a huge version created by Maureen and Stu Levine. Here's the article and some photos from E-Sylum. In addition to the large one, there are some small ones on the table in the photo below.

I have no idea what the pineapples signify.... perhaps a query to Maureen and Stu Levine would answer the question. Cheers, RickO
Pinapples have been a symbol of hospitality for a long time. Perhaps he was a very hospitable guy?
Very cool!
Could be. But I'm guessing Maureen or Stu would know for sure, as mentioned by Rick above.
Anyone know and can reach out to Maureen and Stu?
They were given out at the ANA banquet, but I gave mine away, sorry. Try contacting the ANA or someone else you know who may have attended.

Burdette G. Johnson, Newman's numismatic mentor, was the proprietor of St. Louis Stamp & Coin. He had several addresses in St. Louis, one of which one was Olive Street. Johnson passed away in the 1940s.
Did not realize there was still today a St. Louis Stamp & Coin - I wonder who would pick up on the other end of the phone??
my favorite part of the bill is Eric's love for Ice Cream. On the note it states that "This note is legal, tender for Ice Cream to be served to Eric Newman on demand." cool.
the off center rooftop dormer on the reverse bugs me, Is the structure really like that? No, it's not perspective
i believe this must be right. pineapples are placed conspicuously for welcoming guests and removed when visiting hours are over.
