Bought raw off Ebay for $8....not exactly 1909 S VDB prices. Looks like the reverse proofs they had on Kennedy Halves a couple years back. Not the best pic, but you get the idea.

I hope the details on Lincoln and the shield are better in-hand. In the photo, it looks like the Mint's finishing method obliterated most of the finer detail on the important areas, while the lettering looks great.
I think it could use more detail but otherwise I like it.

I have one in hand, along with a 2017-D. The detail and overall look of the enhanced 2017-S is way better than the circulation strike 2017-D. I think this coin will be a winner.
Here's mine. Detail is still noticeably better than what shows in the pic, and the surface doesn't look nearly as grainy. Coin looks great in hand.
