There's a coin that worked hard in circulation for about fifty years. I wish half dollars would circulate once more.

That Walker has seen a lot of commerce.....I got a '41 while roll searching a couple of months ago... I do not understand why halves are not used as they once were.... Yes, I know, they do not mint them for circulation anymore... but they were useful change... and it seems they would be more useful now, especially if they discontinued the cent. Cheers, RickO

I feel the same way when I stumble on something like that, it is really worn and seen as junk by many but it is special and holds a long history. Looks like a great pocket piece to me.

Looks like a possible lowball if you are into that kind of thing. Nice find! Now go find a 1916 SLQ in the junk box!

Nice one. Perfect pocket piece to use as a means to teach about value and perceptions. We can change.

Your coin is a very worn example of the "Wingfoot" die clash, which is still visible even on a low grade coin-

I think one reason they failed to be used in commerce was that few vending machines took them.

Aside from the small rim nick on the bottom left reverse this could be the only PO-1 PCGS 1916 half dollar lol.... It is tempting but would it really get PO-1 or details??
