Coin Grading

Hello, I am new to the forum and am interested in learning more on grading of coins. The pennies are not great quality but have interesting strikes/features. Would any of these be worth sending to PCGS?

    Welcome aboard.

I'd agree with the first reply in this thread, these are common coins in common condition...worth 1-5 cents, certainly not worth grading. Keep looking and learning, you'll learn.

Before you spend any money on certification you need to learn more about coin grading and values. Use the information available on this site to bring yourself up to speed. Don't rush into spending money. Take your time to learn the field.

Okay, I give up, what's an interesting strike feature on your Lincolns?

I would also like to know what you are seeing in your coins. I can't see anything from the pictures so it is difficult to have an opinion one way or the other for me.

Reading a lot of very good coin grading articles and many, many years later in the hobby, grading is still a mystery at time.
To this day I say that experience will help a lot. Buy what you like not the kind of packaging you like.

Today is the first day of the rest of my life

@justpennies8 ....Welcome aboard.... The pictures you posted are difficult to assess, however, with what can be seen, they do not appear to be anything more than worn Lincoln cents. There is good advice above, and learning to grade is a slow process. Remember, grading has no standards... so even grades issued are an opinion... yes, trained, but still an opinion. Good luck, Cheers, RickO
