US 20th Type Set- advice on damaged 20th century century type set

I've been helping my dad organize his coins and we found this type set. It looks to be in rough shape due to the tape on the back, but some coins are toned or have good patina. The set was framed in glass but the frame broke and I don't want to leave in current state. Not sure what to do with it. Has the tape ruined the coins?
If there is any value beyond melt we are wondering best way to store including getting graded. If low/melt value I'll order a new album and transfer
because his Uncle created the set and would be cool to display that way.

You could have it framed and leave as is.

The tape itself didn't hurt anything, glue residue is easily removed with acetone. It might cause some funky toning. That one walker looks like it has green gunk on it...if that's PVC, it may have etched the surface and that would hurt value, but doesn't look real valuable anyway although it's hard to tell from a pic.
@echoes thanks for posting. yes a new frame is an option. I wasn't sure if tape was damaging the coins and didn't want additional damage to occur by reframing.
@shorecoll something has damaged coin between eagles feet. I dont know what because I'm a newbie. This coin was loose so took a few more photos. Apologies for photo quality. Trying to figure that out as well, but doing my best with iPhone
That Barber Dime looks very nice from a distance.
The sentimental value will forever exceed the monetary value of perhaps $100-150. None of the coins are worth "getting graded".
Consider finding a similar holder with glass and frame on ebay, moving the coins into it with correct orientation, and completing the set with a couple of circulated silver dollars.
And then passing it down in the family with some reminiscent stories of your great-uncle

i see a lot of those set at my shop.
It is kind of a nice display format.
Wouldn't take much to upgrade and would look so much nicer in higher grades!
That is a nice old family set..... I would get a new holder and frame it... fill the blank spots and keep it in the family. Soak that Walker in acetone, roll (not rub) a Qtip over the green area... this will remove PVC (if that is what it is) and prevent further damage. Cheers, RickO
You could add a Peace and Morgan and become part of the collection's provenance.
BTW, welcome to the forum!
Thank you all for the advice. I talked to my dad about this last night. We agreed to put in a new album because he doesn't have a good place to display a frame and album will show both sides of the coins. The album is on order and I will post a pic or 2 after I complete the transfer.
I will get the acetone and soak the Walker.
I hadn't considered completing the set. I was only planning on updating the holder. It will be fun to complete. Thanks again for the ideas.
@holdandcreative- I'll take some better photos of the barber dime when I transfer over to the new album.
@HoledandCreative - I took some additional photos of the barber dime. These are tricky to photograph.
+100 on leaving it basically alone, maybe filling the 2 empty's for about $40 and straightening things up.
Nothing leaps out as a high dollar coin, keep it for the "family" value, and pass it to another generation some day.
Thanks. Nice coin, looks to be a solid AU. Fill the 2 holes and have a family keepsake.
Thanks everyone for their time and advice! I bought a new album and will move things over this weekend. I'm going to talk to my dad about filling the holes and see if he is interested. I got a 20th and 21st century album so more than a few holes to fill. I would not have thought to fill them without the suggestions from people on this forum. Thanks again for the idea.
Finally, I attempted the soak of the walker last night. Looks good...my wife thinks I have lost it.
