Based on my recent submittals, i used a percentage now I will apply that percentage to your submittals. As Mr. Smith would say to Mr. Wesson ""44"".. Thanks for the opportunity

Although the contest was about Plus grades, there was no big surprise there. Just looking at POP reports shows that plus grades are scarce.
But the biggest takeaway for me was that PCGS is still ridiculously tight with giving out FBL and has been that way for the last 2 years. No problem there. Conservative is good. The problem is that they have been much more liberal with the FBL designation at times in the past.
Inconsistency on strike designations is a huge negative for a TPG. I can understand gradeflation (but I don't like it), because grading standards are somewhat fluid. But strike designations should be set in stone.
Unfortunately there is no solution to the strike designation dilemma. You can disregard PGCS's opinion and have your own standard, but with the price differential between FBL and non-FBL being what it is, you have to tread very carefully.
Just picked these up today from Georgiacop50's giveaway!
Second best item(s) I've won. First was when I won an all expense paid trip to the superbowl in Detroit a few years ago.
Thanks!!!!
I sent 48 of the coins to CAC (I sent the higher valued coins- not the coins I felt were the most deserving of a sticker)
Six (count em) green beans.
I wonder if any will come back with a red "PVC" sticker. Every one of these coins was cut from cello mint sets of 1961-1963 and placed in mylar flips so PVC contamination is pretty much impossible. However I have had CAC coins from cello mint sets get erroneously rejected for PVC in the past so it will be interesting to see...

Another pertinent question: Was this a raw submission or a regrade of coins that had already been denied the plus designation before?
