I dumped a ton of "slicks" in the past for melt. To me, that's all they were worth. I don't understand the appeal of finding and spending a premium plus grading fees on what I consider junk, but that's just my opinion and my collecting objectives. Others see beauty in lowballs or collect them on a lark. To each their own. I just don't get it.

Successful B/S/T transactions: As Seller: PascoWA (June 2008); MsMorrisine (April 2009); ECHOES (July 2009) As Buyer: bfjohnson (July 2008); robkool (Dec 2010); itsnotjustme (Dec 2010) TwoSides2aCoin (Dec 2018) PrivateCoin Jan 2019

On the flip side some folks rave about MS-69/70 and justify paying a 10x premium over a 67 or 68 for them. That end of the spectrum never appealed to me.

Here's one of mine from Bill Fivaz's collection:

@Zoins Halloween is coming so it's appropriate that you should show a coin with two ghosts on one side and their ghost ship on the other side. Very cool coin. B)

Yea, that one is pretty cool looking, unlike a Kennedy in the same grade.

With what sellers are looking for a buyer to pay for the lowball coin, I will mostly buy a high grade coin for my set.

    Kennedys are my quest...

I agree with that statement as well.
