Come on folks this poster sounds like an Aussie dill.. an ebay seller ... who bumbled onto this Forum .. Clearly his lot was not what he originally said it was .. instead of his owning up to the fact , he begin to bash Forum members..
Wonderful to hear you survived the collectors corner and came out the other side. I take all comment for what they are opinions. Some hurt some don't but we all grow from them. After the computer is turned off and I am in my room looking over my coins, I think about what others have said, and at times it even changes my mind. It makes us all grow. No one should be made to feel bad, but unfortunately without the face to face, many things can be read in many different ways. I think most have good hearts on this site. Some take more to warm up then others.
To be honest, i kind have given CC the flick....They have too many rules for no
reason at all and as my grandparents said to me as a kid, anyone like this is
on the parallel to what went on in the concentration camps in Nazi Germany..
.I have litterally thousands of items and cc wont see any of them...I used to cater
towards the collector and not the investor...You see the kids are the hobbys
future and if cheap items are not placed for sale, we will lose all that potential
business. On top of that, those kids ( 15 to 20 years old ) will steer away and all
that will happen will be the precious metal coins will be melted into bullion.
I am 60 years of age and have been collecting since i was 8 so i may ask you to
do the maths. I do not nor ever will go into this PGSC crap as being a retired
stamp and coin dealer from Australia , i know that the buyers
will never get their money back in the longrun... I now live in ohio.
Most dealers buyback gold
coins for a bit less than bullion and you dont have to study numismatics
for over half a century to do that. Maybe i am a bit forward but i am one
that says what they feel....if you are in the USA, i can phone you and talk to you
so you can judge for yourself with my voice..All i need is your phone number.
After all the phone call will only cost money and i cant take it with me when i die...
correct??...... Being in this business has made my cup always half empty but my
business ethics are 101%. Now getting onto another thing, what did you mean
by " and came out the other side." I have tried CC and now will be sticking with ebay...
Ebay may have lots of fees but at least the items sell and dont gather dust in my office.
As you can see i do not beat around the bush and say as i feel. I hope you are not
offended by my bluntness but if you can look on the wider scope, what are you
going to do with the coins??? I sold all my inventory and collections in australia
and coins & banknotes made me retire before i was 53. I am proof that one does
not need schooling as i never completed high school...I started in the stamp and
coin business when i was 17 with an investment of just under $5000.00 - all my
savings and barmitzvah money. lastly one can only blame the companies that
put out the things like pokemon, barbies, etc as they have driven the children
from our hobby. I now use all the rens of thousands of dollars of mint stamps i
have for shipping and that is why i can add tracking where other sellers dont.
Sorry if i have bored you but if you want to talk, my number in Ohio is 440 721 1602..
Hope you like my username oz_in_ohio ..I have that in ebay as well.
