Casino chips rather than poker chips. I suspect they are quite old but identifiable for a casino chip collector. (Which I am not.)
looks like poker chips to me as well.
Looks more like Bakelite than wood
never seen bakelite with woodgrain ?
Those are very cool!
The name is LEE!
Vintage clay poker chips.

They sure do look like poker chips.
I really like those. If they are for sale PM me.
Yes they are something else.
Nice find

International Sporting Club Monte Carlo 5 Franc Celluloid & Sterling Silver Inlay Casino Gambling Chip
That's not wood grain. Its lines in the Bakelite made to imitate wood grain
I LOVE them........and I would really like something new to collect.
OINK
Those are really nice.... I collect poker chips and have a good selection. None like that though... @Windycity... are they listed for sale or are they yours?? I am certainly interested in those.... I have quite a few Vegas chips with inlaid silver that I have collected over the years...Cheers, RickO
Great to see these images - Thank you!
My Australian Grandfather fought in WW1, and bought back one of these Casino chips. Family lore has it that he won it at the Monte Carlo Casino in Monaco. I'd understood it to be made of ivory, with silver filigree.
My father had it made into a pendent - Hopefully the pics are attached here. Cheers, Adrian
those are uber cool!
Welcome... nice first post!
Yup, welcome and very cool novelty collectibles.
I just wonder what a whole set might cost? Along with a vintage poker table, it would be a dream for my poker parties........
OINK
I suspect that the lines in the material were intended to simulate ivory as opposed to wood grain. Very neat items.
Sweet !!!
Great piece of family history

There is an interesting article in the June 1986 issue of the numismatist. No pics of this chip it does mention 5 franc valued tokens that were 45mm in diameter
Poker chips can be as cool as coins. Here is the only one I own. I found it on the ground in Baghdad, shortly after the invasion:
Dead Cat Waltz Exonumia
"Coin collecting for outcasts..."
They look more like roulette chips to me.
