A question I have is why don't I see these types of toners with modern silver dollar commems?
There are millions of them and they gotta be saved/put into similar albums or containers and I don't think I've ever seen one toned like an ASE like this...

A big reason for ASEs is silver content. ASEs are .999 silver while commems are .900 silver. Of note, silver Ikes also seem to tone more than commems and are .400 silver.
Also, there are lots of folks that collect ASEs raw and put them in albums. ASEs are also commonly found in other cardboard holders used for gifts.
With modern commemoratives, most collectors just keep them in the OGP which is usually a hard plastic capsule and you won't find as many of them toned because of that.
@fivecents....No... you did not... I have seen colorful collections - such as AuroraBorealis Morgan collections.... I always keep a pair of sunglasses by the computer for these situations.... Cheers, RickO

@fivecents..... Those are all slabbed? Cheers, RickO
Yes ricko they are all graded PCGS with no genuine holdered coins in the bunch.
Hope I didn't blind you with all that wild color.
I forgot to add this 1996.....
Can't compare to the ASE's, but this is the best I can do....formerly an old, small white ANACS MS69 holder, now in an MS68 holder.

What did that one cost you if you don't mind me asking. Bought raw or graded?
With all this advertising, I can see the premiums for tarnish escalating quickly....
Cheers, RickO
I bought them all raw and had them certified myself.
I bought it many years ago. It was fairly cheap at the time, the dealer thought it was AT.
