Very collectible to people that collect small dollars or Gallery Mint products. Only 110 of these were made. More info available on this page: http://www.smalldollars.com/dollar/page17.html
MWallace thanks for the link
There is a following for Gallery Mint items by Ron Landis and Joe Rust. Here are a couple of Gallery Mint items I bid on but missed. I did get the bottom plug which went cheap but now the two pieces have been separated.
Nice design... too bad it was not selected.... I did not realize these were at such lofty prices. Cheers, RickO
Some strong prices recently on the bay for Ron Landis pieces.
Ron announced on Facebook a couple weeks ago that he's resurrecting the Gallery Mint and is looking forward to producing coins again. I told him he should come up with early Federal "design competition entries."

Thats great I need a new place to spend my money!
To memorialize the price before the auction disappears, this off metal silver 1998 sold for $611.25 on June 11, 2017. It seems like the ones made of brass, the intended metal, go for more right now (either that or they are searched for more). Here's the reverse photo which is a bit blurry. The obverse doesn't seem to be available any more:
I thought you PM'd me that you were the winner of this piece over my bid, why not just show a picture if you own it??
That's great news. I'm glad he's back and can't wait to see the new designs.
Maybe he could make a 1920 broken sword peace dollar ? somebody else doesnt own patient ! no need to wait 2021 !
Excellent!
