Dealer table sales light for the National?

That's the scuttle. Could be the fewest in years. Reconsidering attending.

From the website. "The 38th National Sports Collectors Convention will be held July 26-30, 2017 at the Donald E Stephens Convention Center, Rosemont IL
Booth space for the 38th National in Chicago is completely sold out. To be placed on a waiting list for any booths which become available"

LOL!! You do realize they have a number of max tables they set in advance, right? The point is that number is the lowest in years.

If you think this Chicago National will be as large as the 2011, 2013, or 2015 shows, please PM me. I have some investment opportunities for you.

So they'd rather limit the number of tables to rent even though all those tables sold out?

This sounds like many of your threads, nothing more than rumor mongering and pot stirring. Can you provide some actual data for your assertions for a change?

Tim, you know exactly how this works. Dealers choose their table(s) at the previous National. The number of dealers doing that is at a low for a Chicago National. But again, go ahead and think it'll be as big as the last few there. Go right ahead, and when the Crisser is proven right, no one will defend him but it will come as a shock to all but a few.

I agree good points, I think now is the time to sell my collection as the market is sure to be heading lower.

I have no idea how many tables will be there, but I will mention that I was at the 2015 show. Was in Chicago for the entire week. I spent 3 full days at the show itself, and I am pretty sure I didn't see everything.

I have a hard time believing that if this year is short a few tables, people are going to be disappointed. That's just my opinion on this potential catastrophe ;)

Plenty of business going on in hotel rooms, parking lots, on barstools, or internet thingys. There might be some folks who no longer require a "table" to manage their acquisitions.

Let me give you actual facts.

    1) It will be as big or bigger than ever at that venue. As far as tables go.
    2) They are sold out and sold out means sold out

The reason is this was going to be our first National Covention as a dealer. Well, months ago they were "sold out" and we were put on the waiting list.

So take it from someone who tried for months to buy a table from the NSCC and other dealers and has come up empty.

I hate to even post this if your original, inaccurate thoughts had you reconsidering.

Maybe next year is best for ya.

It wasn't sold out SIX months ago. Tables were available and I procrastinated and it cost me.

Crisser- I know you like to stir the pot with every post you make, but does it really matter if there are less tables than last year or in 2013? There are some of us here that enjoy the atmosphere, friendships, card hunting and beer drinking at the show. I realize you don't have friends that you can share that with but I would bet if you would be pleasant and considerate towards others here, you actually might have a great time regardless of how many tables are available.
I personally would give you a chance because you might be a nice guy, but no one can give you that chance on a message board because you hide behind your computer typing crap stirring messages.

I will be at the National, and frankly, could give a rats arse how many tables there are. Bringing my son to hang out, rip some modern, go to the batting cages, meet Net54 and CU forum members (that includes you crisser), hang out at BBCE. Heck, I'd even go play some golf up in Kohler if I had time.

It's the CU equivalent to slowing down to look at an accident in the opposite lanes of the interstate. Deep down we know we wont see anything but we've got to look anyway.
