Wonderful Franklins! Love them all! Tom, what an outstanding 53!
Persuing choice countermarked coinage on 2 reales.
Enjoyed numismatic conversations with Eric P. Newman, Dave Akers, Jules Reiver, David Davis, Russ Logan, John McCloskey, Kirk Gorman, W. David Perkins...
Very nice. What do you think, at least 67DCAM?
Might need a quick dunk. I have found that my rattlers are not that airtight, and coins will haze/continue to tone.
Hey Ronyahski, yes she is a solid 67 and a lock CAM. Maybe a DCAM on a really lucky day. I have a handful of these old Frankie rattlers and even being stored with desiccants the slabs are very porous. They would all see a bath before a resub.

I love that first one braddick. Also, Tome that 1953 is pretty spectacular! I assume its a proof.

Here's one of my favorites.

Yes, the 1953 is a proof and you can see the mint-made die scratches on the coin in the image, as well.

I just got this one back from grading.
NGC MS65*
Prooflike surfaces, but not deep enough to be considered a true PL Franklin.
@braddick
Wowza! I think I'm in love. How does the reverse look like?
Not much as far as color, but some PCGS returns from about two weeks ago.

That 1961-D looks like a 1958-D! Holy Cow!

My double overstruck Franklin.
Definitely in need of a better pic as the proof mirrors are very strong in hand.
Some beautiful franklins all around.

AmazonX that is definitely from the die pair that the PL's came from... but you know that.
@georgiacop50 Yup, it is but the mirrors on the obverse aren't deep enough for a PL designation from NGC.
