Most likely an error bar. Engelhard forgot the 999 to the right of the 3.000. Probably the "non +" variety based on the serial of the OP bar, and the serial run of the non + variety shown on AE site.

Arrived this week. 1888-S, PCGS MS63. Population 174, with only 5 graded higher, and a 1910 PCGS MS 64

I added this little gem to my pile of 20,s this week. The more common variety, but it has great eye appeal and color.

Goes well with this pair too.....Close in serial numbers

Where you able to get this from one of your usual sources? If so, I think that's great you have developed a reliable network and shows everyone that knowledge and perseverance are superior tools. Thumbs up.

Yes, a usual source but not into poured bars like I am. He is to some degree, he's a dealer so he really just cares more about what he has into it and turning a profit. Now the "problem" is establishing a collector value on it.
