Bad ebay experience with buyer

Well I got cheated sold a raw Gold coin from 1992 only about 2K made. after 4 days buyer did not pay and sent me an email at 3 am claiming he found it cheaper on another site. We doubt that. Anyway its over moving along. His loss. package Had a free brand new Silvertowne Buffalo 2017 1 oz. silver coin in the package with a thank you card. his loss.

Well at least you did not ship so the only thing you are out is a lost sale and some inconvenience on your side. File a NPB with eBay and move on. If as you say the item was priced right it will sell again quickly.

Nothing is sold until it is paid for. You didn't get cheated, you missed out on a sale.

then you got cheated. Share the name of the bidder so the rest of us can block him.

offer it to your next highest bidder. I believe there is a way you can do that on ebay. If not, message him and explain the no sale. You might consider using buy it now listings that offer an option of requiring immediate payment before the sale can go through.

@derryb thanks that's good advice on the buy it now. I did block him too. I might just stick to selling all my unopened straight from the US mint boxes I have. Then no one will claim stuff is not what it is. I buy 2 of everything from past 3 years. one box I don't open mark on it what it is and put it away. the other is for my pleasure

Here's a good rule: After 3 days with no payment and communication cancel the transaction and re-list.
If that's the worst you ever encounter as a seller then you are blessed.

Bad experience? Every suit I sold and returned because customer frauds or did't know their size costed me $30 to $100 on Amazon. And I had a few hundred returns per year.
