You guys know the old expression, 'If walls could talk". Boy, could you imagine if a coin could talk? Just think what he/she can tell you!
Suppose, a coin just got minted at the Mint. This is where the coin's story would start. From that point onward, where in the world would his journey take him? It may be a quick stop in some hoard and stay in one spot for years and years or travel the world?
Imagine, it might take him in several areas in one day? or even be tossed or dropped on the ground somewhere for who knows how long?
It could be placed in a vending machine for quite sometime. how 'about even placed on a railroad track to get squashed? Maybe, even preserved in some museum? Hopefully end up in our Hosts Holder.
This certain coin could be comforted in one household or several homes? Maybe on Ebay for one to purchase?
Or even end up in Starbuck's Tip Jar for a person to snatch out to keep and display on PCGS's Coin Forum?
You guy's see where I got the idea for this thread now. Yep, that new Roosevelt Dime!
Thanks for reading my, "Day in the Life of a coin" story. Hope you enjoyed it. ;

Having read enough articles of coins which ended up in various bodily orifices, I think a selective, non-biological history might be more desirable.
Just sayin'...
While having my dog checked for an injury, they did an x-ray.... the vet said the hip was ok, but look at this... and it was a nickel in the dogs stomach...... Probably on my back lawn somewhere by now...
