Saw this beautifully toned 1819/8 Large 9 O.103a in a dealer's inventory not long ago and just had to have it...so much nicer in hand! Tougher variety too.

Stunning. I LOVE the way those tone.
Nice, Dave! That is a tougher die marriage (R4), too.
Great catch!
Lance.
Nice coin
Thanks...I meant to say die marriage, not variety, as the 1819/8 overdate is not a tough redbook variety in general, although a couple of die marriages are indeed tough, the 103a being one of them.

Gorgeous piece.
Fantastic. Great choice.
Edit: I just clicked on the pic for the larger view.....multiply my compliments x 2.

very, very nice. I collect at a lower tier and recently purchased an 1819 in VF from David Kahn that I like a lot.
Wish I could afford something that nice.

Your new coin must have come out of a very high grade collection. It looks wonderful!
Love the look of that coin!!
Mozin, I'm not sure where it came from but I feel very fortunate to be able to add it to my collection.
Thanks for all the kind words everyone!

Very nice piece! Like the colors!
Whoa...Mozin is back? Dang, we've missed you.
If not for you I probably wouldn't be a bust half nut.
Lance.
I'd have to say the same for me actually Lance. Mozin was one of the very first few forum members who helped me develop my interest and eventual obsession with bust halves.
Glad to see you back Mozin!
Dave
That's a beauty for sure.
@drddm...That is a well struck piece with great detail and interesting die cracks on the reverse.... Congratulations on a great addition to your collection...Cheers, RickO
Nice

Thanks Ricko...you have to love Bust Halves with lots of character, and the die cracks on the O.103a certainly does it for me!

nice score, i like
That's absolutely stunning. "Coin porn" for sure.
Very nice looking coin. I'll bet it spent many years in a Wayte Raymond album to achieve that toning.
Wear it down 15 pts and people will still lust for it.
Outstanding!
Thanks again everyone. I happen to love the shattered rev die with all the cracks just as much as the rainbow toning. Definitely a keeper!
