Gold-digging in Georgia: America’s First Gold Rush Exhibit at UGA June 5-Dec 5

If you are in the area (Athens GA) you should check it out. Although I have not seen the exhibit, I have been told by others that were consulted that it is very well done. And there is a substantial focus on the Dahlonega Mint. The centerpiece of the exhibit is a complete 60 pc set of Dahlonega coins that was recently donated to the University.

That is pretty cool and thank you for the information. I doubt I will have the opportunity to visit it, but for those who might be in the area or passing through this would be a terrific way to learn more about this fascinating niche of US history and numismatics.
