Friday is Metal Porn Day!
Post pics of new purchases, favorite old purchases, or just the good images you find online.
If you haven't visited the website I mentioned in my "For anyone who loves rare gold bullion" post, you should take a peek there, too:

I got some stuff this week, but most of it went catch & release on me. Here are a couple of keepers.
Southeast Refining 1 ounce bar. I got 15 of these many, many years ago. This one appeared by itself in a local shop. Ironically, the ones I bought years ago include several serial numbers in the 1244XX range, including 124492!
Also got the Sharps Pixley 1 ounce bar. Never seen one before and it's got the elements I love in vintage bars: great design, unusual maker, serial number. Unfortunately, these aren't especially rare. But for melt plus a buck, I'm glad I picked her up.

Bought both, sold one for the price of both and kept the nicer one. Dats how you do it! I admit, I got lucky. But it helps being knowledgable of what the value of something is too.
Generic Kilo and an Ounce of Palladium! A cool book on Gold Double Eagle's as well.
Nice metal Gents...
It's all about what the people want...
My mother dug this out last night. It's not American, off center, in rather poor condition, and probably not worth much, lol! This is a 244 year old Bavarian coin, that has been in the German side of the family for a long time...a silver "Thaler".
I don't have stacks or anything amazing.. I decided to make an in memoriam piece to all the collectors in the family (and the wives who had to deal with them).
@creekdalton.... Nice old Bavarian coin.... I have a couple of large, old silver German coins.... My Dad had them... I believe they have collector value but have not researched them.... Cheers, RickO
I like those a lot! Great flip!
