Finally got my flowing hair 1$ back after well over two months.

I sent a $1 1975 Flowing Hair dollar in and after waiting for it to get back for a very long time was going to see if making a claim was necessary. PCGS acknowledged having it but it took almost three months to get back to me. It did cross so I have a 1975 FH , 1798 45 CAC large eagle, and a 1799 30. All are PCGS as I like to keep things consistent. None of the coins seem to have been dipped and the surfaces clean (no abrasions or scratches). The coins are not bright silver as IMO any circulated coin the is clean is a pass.

I have been out of the market recently as my wife and I are retiring and getting out of the concrete jungle AKA the Houston area, Got some land along the Guadalupe River in central Texas and will start building a home next spring. After living in the humidity and traffic capital of the south I cannot believe I am finally getting paroled after 62 years. No more three hour round trip days to work (one a good day). Rainy days involved going and playing straight pool until the traffic cleared.

Thanks again for those that answered questions for me earlier. Your assistance is noted and appreciated!

Doesn't PCGS still offer a walk through service? Seems that a coin of that value would warrant the upgrade.

The coin I waited on was a nice 1795 flowing hair I have had for many years. It is only a VG 10 and I am not aware a their having a walk through for these coins. They did email and stated NGC got the variety wrong and I told them it should be changed. I figured it would cross or they would have not asked the question. This was at the end of month one. It was a cross over as apposed to upgrade but that should not make a difference in time.

Congratulations on retirement.... I lived in Houston for a few years...mid '70's.... traffic was bad enough then... much worse now I hear. I did like Houston, great city, nice people. Best of luck with your new life...Cheers, RickO

Rick Thanks! You timed getting out of here very well. The 1980s were miserable as all but one of the largest banks failed, oil industry tanked> Ditto on real estate. The traffic cannot get any worse as only so many cars can get on the road ar once. It is as humid as ever.
