John Adams went so far as to say we should celebrate May 15th and not July 4th as Independence Day.

    As part of our history, certainly the date deserves recognition. Especially during a time when so many are trying to delete so much of what made this country great. Slavery was a blot on our history, however, we eliminated it - actually before the rest of the world... much of which still practices it. Cheers, RickO
