This was my total finds for the day. I'll wash them up and they will look better. Didn't notice the grooved hole in the hammer stone until I was knocking the dirt off of it

Neat! What fun!
That cent is pretty pristine, too, for having laid there since 1974. LOL
Nice to see Lord M here

Nice finds! Area must have had a quite active past over thousands of years.

Funny that they lost a penny with every point.
You would would think that it would be Indian head pennies I'll have to remember that next time.

I really miss arrowhead hunting since I left southwest Ohio. Hunting plowed fields after a rain was always a great way to spend the afternoon.
I use to have 3 really good fields to hunt. No till farming put a stop to my best field. We've had 2-3 inches of rain since I last hunted this field. If it dries up in the next day or two I'd like to get back there again before the corn gets to tall.

I definitely want to get out this summer and do a bit of arrowhead hunting.... Down by the river will be a good area.... Cheers, RickO
Used to find a lot of them back in good old S.W. PA, where I used to live.
After the spring plowing and a gentle rain, that's how you find them.(very rich with many Indian camps)
Sure miss being there, 2 minutes out of my drive way was nothing but country roads, farms, woods.
Could cruise for 8 hours, all via country lanes, and never back track.
We can still do that up here in the mountains.... Cheers, RickO
There are some gulleys nearby that I hike down into after the rains. It's neat to see the layers of habitation sites down 10 feet up to 20 feet down below the surface. Grinding rocks, shells, fire pits. etc. I photo and video as the artifacts will all wash away and be re-buried in the future.
