Anyone here going to the 2017 PCGS Members show in New Orleans?

Made our vacation around this show some time back, so I'll be there between plates of jambalaya and hand grenade drinks...

I am sort of trying to plan my schedule so I can attend the PCGS show in Philly this October.
I was wondering if these shows are worthwhile for small minnows like myself?

To be honest, just the room and meals will devour most all of my coin fun money and that will bother me.

BUT part of me wants to maybe meet some people and see things in person that I would not get the chance to see otherwise.
Also, there is a Legend auction scheduled and I'd like to see that.

When I went to the PCGS Members Show in Dallas last year, I felt really out of place with the high-brow dealers there. The lunch was very nice though...no it was not hot dogs with "grey poupon".

@sparky64 and @oih82w8: I'm definitely not one of the bigger fish in the pond and it's been a fun and educational experience for me. Granted, I've only done the Vegas shows so maybe that experience was different than the Dallas show. I've been to NOLA before, but not to this show, which I believe is the 2nd one there.

This show is fairly small, but you do get to spend more time with the dealers there and look at the available inventory. I've managed to find many gems at these shows which I might not have seen elsewhere. The Legend auction is worthwhile too, and I'll definitely will look at the coins in my watchlist. If anyone wants me to look at some coins for them and trusts my eye, PM me and I can give you some feedback on them.

For me and my wife, this show was another excuse to return to New Orleans! :)

New Orleans is great... Have been there several times, though not for a coin show.... great food and lots of fun.... though I rarely left the French Quarter ;) Cheers, RickO

Never been to New Orleans but I'd like to some day.
I don't recall hearing much coin talk about that city but that doesn't mean anything.

From the lack of response here it looks like you won't have many forum members to kick around.
I'll bet it'll be an awesome show and I hope you have a blast.

I'll be in New Orleans that weekend, but I wasn't sure if it was worthwhile going.

TTT - Will be heading to NO, but may or may not make it to the show today. I will be there for sure on Thursday. For those with Instagram accounts, I'll post some pics while i'm there. Nothing like posting videos of knockout coins!
