Here's one of my favorite Gobrechts. I love this design and the toning. It's very flashy in hand.
The Massachusetts Charitable Mechanic Association was founded in 1795 and Paul Revere was its first president. It was initially created to address runaway apprentices and is still running.
Since it's engraved, and meant to be engraved, is this something PCGS will grade? It's cataloged in Julian and PCGS does say they will grade Julian-listed medals. If no one knows, I'll contact them and find out.

Yes, PCGS will grade your AM-33. I nearly purchased this O.C. White Co. award last year for familial reasons, but it was overpriced IMHO at the time it was in the inventory of a dealer who frequents here. The silver MCMA medals designed by Gobrecht are scarce, but not so scarce that I could have justified the price.

Thanks @coindeuce. Good to know. It was much pricier than others I've seen but I was willing to go further as a toning premium. When I took it out of the package, the light hit it just right for a brilliant look.
What is your familial relationship to O.C. White Co.?
Very nice.

Fabulous medal. If someone had the die for it, they could make a few more of them
I remember when you picked that up and the requests for restrikes when it was posted here. Any thoughts of making some?
I'd like to do some restrikes in gold, but it is has to be for something important, not just for fun.
It could be interesting to do some restrikes in conjunction with the Massachusetts Charitable Mechanic Association since the organization is still around. Something like releasing them through a charity auction by the MCMA would add some cool history to the restrikes.
Very nice medal... and struck in gold, it would be really attractive.... Cheers, RickO
These were struck in gold as well and they look great. I'm still on the lookout for a gold one.
