Ancient Roman Coins on ebay

milbrocomilbroco Posts: 2,731 ✭✭✭

I see listings for lots of 10 and more of Ancient Roman Coins and that some could be gold. What is the possibility of actually getting one? Did anyone ever buy these and get one. I always thought it would be neat to buy a few and check them out. Then I saw a few threads about cleaning them and has peaked my interest again.
Thanks,
Robert

Your chances of actually finding gold in an uncleaned Roman lot are probably 0.0000000001%.

You CAN find some cool stuff in these lots. Gold is not usually one of them. Beware the sellers who claim that.

I like the sellers who actually go so far as to say stuff like, "NO gold found! We aren't liars!" ;)
