I will be in Asheville next week. Are there any shops and an address would be helpful.
Thanks in advance

I went in one about 6 years ago in downtown Asheville. Don't remember the name. Might do a google search.
Wright's coin in Asheville
Stevenson's Rare coins (downtown)
G's Coin shop in Fletcher (just south of Asheville)
Black Mountain Coins (just east of Asheville)
All are good shops.

I will be in Myrtle Beach, NC, in October - Navy Reunion... Have not seen any coin shops there... Tourist trap mainly. Cheers, RickO

If you're ever in the area, stop by the shop!

If you're going to Wright's Coin Shop make sure you say hi to @Aethelred
the only problem with Stevenson's is that he never wants to sell anything! i have seen some nice coins in there, but he always says it's not for sale.

Asheville is well worth a detour from any trip you may take near the area. The town has lots to do and has a vibrant downtown with fine restaurants and brewpubs. Want to tour the town? Take the La Zoom open sided bus tour - lots of fun.
If you have never been to Biltmore, it ought to be on your bucket list. The mansion is worthy of a tour (I recommend the self-guided with headset tour because you can go at your own pace) and I also enjoyed the more modern winery tour as well. We stayed at a hotel just off the property, but next time will likely stay at the hotel on the grounds.
I also enjoy their wines but more on the lighter side than the robust reds..... the winery tour includes a nice tasting session afterwards.

Asheville is a beautiful area, I never knew there were so many coin shops in the area. I'll stop by on my next visit. Black Mountain is definitely on my list for other reasons - but the coin shop is now on my list.
not a problem

The above token is from a time when West Asheville was a separate township. Growing up, there was a shop in East Asheville and one in West Asheville. Today, West Asheville is hipster heaven and I don't foresee there ever being another coin shop there.

anderson cooper doesn't need any more money. skip it. go see the grove park inn instead.
Been to Grove Park Inn a couple of times. I agree, also a great choice. Didn't know Anderson Cooper had any interest in the Biltmore Hotel.

to Cameonut: I don't know that he (Cooper) really does.....I'm sure steveben is basing this on his Vanderbilt lineage, but I think most of the financial control is with the Cecil family these days
