The Forum Awards (RESULTS)

Hello, and welcome back to the Forum Awards, where today we will see the results of the nominations and voting! I apologize for this being slightly late. For more information about the background behind the awards, look at the original thread here: https://forums.collectors.com/discussion/978518/the-forum-awards#latest

Votes took place in the form of "Agreeing" or posting the name of the person you were voting for in the comments. So, below I list the name of the category, the winner, who originally nominated them, and all the additional votes. Enjoy!

There were 4 main categories in this competition; however, only three of them were voted upon. So:

Most Interesting Thread: This award was voted to Bodin. Bodin was nominated originally by OnWithTheHunt, and received 2 additional votes.

Funniest Post/Comment: There was no official winner for this; however, justacommeman was voted twice for in the category of "Most Intelligent Sense of Humor" and "Biggest Pedantic Fart" (in a good way :) ), so I will list him as the winner of this category.

Best Profile Picture: There were no nominations for this category.

Best Original Research/Most Helpful Post/Comment: Roger B. won this category with no competition and a considerable amount of votes. He was originally nominated by BruceS, and received 10 additional votes.

Then there was the "Make Your Own" category. People took this to heart, and as such we have the following winners in the categories that other users made. In order to become an official category, the post creating it must have received 5 votes minimum. Enjoy!

General Knowledge: Congratulations to Capt. Henway for winning this category that was orginally created by DollarAfterDollar. This category received 9 additional votes.

Best Contribution/Discovery: Daniel Carr won this award (I am not knowledgeable about him, so I do not know if he is a user on here, but he still got an impressive 10 votes so I will say he won the category). Carr was nominated by jwitten, with 10 additional votes.

Best Show Reports: ThePennyLady won this category in an AMAZING way. This category, created by coinhack, received an INCREDIBLE 17 additional votes. Charmy-though this wasn't an official part of the awards, you technically are the overarching champion :)

Best Defender of Moderns: Cladking. Originally nominated by Justacommeman, Cladking received 6 additional votes.

Highest Average Word Count: This category was...interesting. While this category TECHNICALLY didn't qualify, the post by justacommeman received an astonishing 10 LOLs, and so I have decided to include it. justacommeman provided two different names, so congratulations to both Roadrunner and Analyst!

Most Missed: Bear won this category. He was nominated by hchcoin, and there were 5 additional cotes.

Variety: This is not an official name of a category, but there was something interesting I found in the original thread. Bill Jones was nominated for two different awards, and so I decided to merge them in a variety category. First, there was a nomination from OldEastside for Bill Jones to receive the "Bill Jones Award". There were 2 additional votes for this. Then, Walkerguy21D nominated Bill for "Most Relevant Coin Photos"; this post also received two additional votes.

And that wraps up the Forum Awards! I hope you enjoyed both threads, and perhaps at some point we will do another fun activity like this! If you want another thread something like this, let me know in the comments below! Finally, some of you asked what the prize was: Unfortunately, there was no prize except bragging rights or putting it in your signature line if you wish. Charmy, who is the unofficial winner with 18 votes, gets the prize of being lucky enough to attend a TON of shows :)

Thanks!
