This one should generate more interest than next weeks gold release has. Less expensive and more finishes too. Excerpts from that article:

On Wednesday, March 29, the United States Mint announced that it will begin selling its 2017-dated American Liberty $100 gold coin on April 6.

The next day, Thursday, March 30, the Mint unveiled a beautiful new set of silver medals based on the designs of the gold coin.

Each of the .999 fine silver medals will be struck at a different mint facility—Philadelphia, Denver, San Francisco, or West Point—and each sports a distinctive finish: Uncirculated (“Burnished”), Proof, Reverse Proof, or Enhanced Uncirculated. This is similar to the set of silver Kennedy half dollars struck to mark the 50th anniversary of that coin in 2014.

Collectors will remember the excitement when the Mint’s first issue of American Liberty silver medals rolled out on August 23, 2016. Demand was so strong that the one-ounce, .999 fine medals sold out in six minutes. Mintage of those medals (all in Proof format) was capped at 12,500 from West Point and 12,500 from Philadelphia, with customers limited to ordering two of each per household, at $34.95 apiece.

I spoke with James Pressley, the Mint’s retail sales manager, at the Baltimore Expo. He told me that mintage and household ordering limits aren’t being publicized yet. Stay tuned for more details.

Any idea on when the silver versions will go on sale? The reverse proof above looks really nice.

if you look at the coins (clicking on the photo will bring up a bigger photo), it's dated 2017 so before 12/31/17 i am guessing?.

Mintage limit has not been posted yet but I bet it will be a lot higher than the first issue, and will probably be a HH limit of one of each type.

I am not a huge fan of reverse proofs but that one looks really good.

Wow. Definitely goes to show that not everyone sees things the same way and that is a good thing.
To me, from the pic just above, the RP reminds me of 'zombie bucks'.
    Not for me at all.

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

they needed to do the hair in RP, but perhaps that would be too much RP on the coin....
