New Coin Club in Ventura County/ LA area, California

I am wanting to create a local coin club to meet in Thousand Oaks California.
Calling all collectors in driving distance, Ventura County and adjacent areas, interested in joining and or creating a new club.
I don't know much about clubs yet so I am open to input and comments.
I have secured a meeting place that has no cost for attendance, an upscale tavern with private patio and light security. I would eventually, if possible, move to a meeting hall associated with the public library. There are costs involved with library rental though.

I wish you luck with the project. I know a few of the members in Glendale drive from out that way to make our meetings. You may want to go to a few club meetings where you can get an idea from the boards what is involved in handling a club. I know the LA paper money club meets out in SFV somewhere, and Glendale and Verdugo aren't too far away if you are doing some research.

Call the ANA. They can be a great resource when starting up a club. Wishing you the best of luck in getting up and running.

Great idea.... I used to live in Agoura....that was in the mid '70's.... there were a couple of guys that collected coins then... it is much more populous now, so likely even more. I suggest, when you get your plans set, advertise in the local markets....they used to have posting boards for activities etc. back then...Best of luck, Cheers, RickO
Cool anotherocal collector!
